Q. |
Will this car seat fit in a Land Rover Discovery 2 (2000/2001) |
| |
|
| |
A. |
It should be fine however you need to check the length of the seat belt buckle locator. If it more than a 2.5 inch stem you may get the seat belt buckle riding up over the side of the Ultimax base.
In 95% of Land Rover Discovery models this has not occurred so should be ok.
To double check and if unsure you could always take to local Council safety officer to check. Every council has one.
Kind regards

Q. |
Has this car seat been tested by Which or any other independent test agency, & if so where can the result be obtained, |
| |
|
| |
A. |
Thanks for your enquiry. No seats are ever tested by Which as they use independent tests from test houses like Eurotest, ADAC, Stiftung etc. This seat fits, "as well or better than its main competitor the Britax First Class" - just speak with any good Mothercare car seat fitter!
It passes all ECER44-04 requirements (which incidentally have no side impact test to pass) and is tested in Germany, Holland to side impacts over and above the Eurotest requiremenst of 30km (22mph).
Crash tests on the Ultimax can be viewed at www.concord.de also installation video's for the Ultimax.
It also won the Best New Product at the Baby and Child Fair 2004, NEC, Birmingham (when it was launched) from all new nursery products launched at the largest trade fair in the UK. It has also won Mother and Baby magazine's Gold award for Best Infant/Toddler seat on the market for 2007 (see in the April issue where it also won Best Buy the same month). It is also in the running for 2008. |

Q. |
Will it fir a Vauxhall Cavalier 1996 model, bit concerned as I've read there can be belt crunch and the seat belts are on short belts so they stick out a few inches rather than flat hear the seat level. |
| |
|
| |
A. |
Thanks for your enquiry. Buckle concerns can occur with all seats. If you have long stalks for buckle then far better to visit an authorised stockist to try. www.concord.de should help - you can also see fiiting instruction video - click English, the Driving, then Ultimax then installation video. I hope this helps. |

Q. |
will the car seat fit a Honda Civic, 2002 model |
| |
|
| |
A. |
Hi Stephen, Yes the ultimax will fit most cars, however there are many many models of this car and we always recommend checking the fitting at Mothercare World, Halfords or council child car seat fitting officer.
Again this said 99% the seat will fit your model and theres a 14 day money back guarantee if you do try it and it doesnt.

Q. |
Can you tell me what the newborn support is ? Does it have to be purchased to make the chair suitable for newborns as it advertises 0 to 4 years . Thanks |
| |
|
| |
A. |
Hi Matt, Thanks for your enquiry. As the Ultimax car seat will last from birth until 4 years old, as you can imagine that it allows good room for growth. The newborn support is an extra padded insert which provides additional support for a small baby so they are not 'lost' within the seat and can be easily removed as the baby grows. Q. |
My little boy is 8 months old but extremely long and therefore is fighting for legroom in his current rear facing seat. If I were to get this and find the same problem if he was over 9kg would it be safe for me consider turning it around and have him forward facing now? |

Q. |
My baby is four and half months old and weighs nearly 16lbs. I would like to know if it is safe to put him in the car seat now with the seat facing outwards because he has outgrown the baby car seat and we have tried him in this position and he fits into the seat perfectly, I am just worried that he might be to young at this moment. |

Hi Patricia, Thanks for your enquiry. I'm afraid that the appropriateness of a car seat is set by baby weight. Therefore, we can only recommend the Concord Ultimax for a baby with a minimum weight of 20lbs. Also, your baby requires a little more time to allow his neck muscles to strengthen. I hope this helps. A. |
The Ultimax is not Isofix but as near to Isofix as is possible.... It is extremely secure and has won 2 gold awards for best baby/toddler seat with Mother and Baby magazine as best seat in its class 2007 and 2008. |

Q. |
Does this seat rotate like the maxi cosi axis. Does it turn yo allow easier installation of the child. |
| |
|
| |
A. |
Hi Roisin, Thanks for your enquiry. Ultimax base part does not rotate but it can be installed rear and forward facing with 3point belt. Usually the base part remains in the car so installation has to be done just once. I hope this helps. With best wishes, The Boohoobaby Team |
